Chicago Marathon 2017 Shakeout Runs

IT'S UPON US! Marathon Week! I've got a round up of neat local Shake out runs to get those nerves calmed and meet some new friends this weekend!

Shakeout Run Options

Take the Bridge

For those of you from New York, you might be familiar with ttb (take the bridge). For marathon weekend, Take the Bridge will be in Chicago at Goose Island, not far from downtown at all and easily accessible from the CTA. For info and to register for this fun, approximately 2.6 mi race for cash prizes, click HERE.

Nike+ Run Club (NRC) Chicago

This isn't on the app yet, but it is online HERE. This is a free shakeout run beginning at Nike Chicago on Michigan Ave and ending in Lincoln Park. There is gear check and they will bring it from the start to the finish. It's a 2.5 mile run for ALL paces, no matter how speedy or slow and steady. It's October 7, at 8:30am (central time). All you have to do is make a free Niek account (if you use the Nike running app you probably already have one! They are also doing FREE marathon gear customization and FREE medal engraving!

Oiselle x Nuun Shakeout

This one meets at the Hilton on Michigan (720 N Michigan Ave) and heads to the Lakefront Path. This is a great one for those of you who want to see the Lakefront. This one features Kelly Heron, who is known as the runner who fought off her attacker in a park restroom. You can find Kelly here This meets Saturday at 10:30am. And the info can be found by clicking HERE.

This AMAZING local group has several events coming up. I believe their Post-Race Party is sold out, but Thursday, October 5th at 7:15pm at Dunlay's on the Square in Logan Square they have a Social Run followed by food and drink. Then Saturday, October 7, starting at the California Blue Line Station, they have a shakeout run at 9:30am!

#WeRunSocial Meetup, Hosted by Pro

Compression Ambassadors and @JustRunChicago

Saturday at 8:45am there will be a We Run Social Meetup at Millennium Park at the Bean. I believe it's just a meetup and photo, but they're giving away a few pairs of the Chicago Pro Compression socks!

All meeting places listed above can be found on GOOGLE MAPS! Just search the name. You can also use Uber, Lyft, or Via to get you there! All of them are available in the Google Play store and Apple App Store!

Do you have one to add? COMMENT HERE and I'll add it!
